Happy New Year, 2025 is among us and the to-do list is underway. 2024 was a foundational year that brought so much happiness to my life, I am truly blessed. Blocking someone is the last straw for me. In most cases, there is no turning back. Once I click that button, you are done, finished, "off with their head" vibes. Now depending on the offense, there may be room to wiggle your way back from the trenches. However, that is a rare occasion. Believe it or not, I am not one to block people. I typically go about my life and move on. One thing about a Libra, our superpower or greatest strength, is to act like one never existed. Respectfully! We mean no harm and come in peace. So, if I ever blocked you, know that it was deeper than the click of a button. I am not petty, but I will defend myself. A few people had to learn that lesson. Only one of them managed to rise from the trenches; honestly, I am happy about it.
One "offender" was a gentleman I enjoyed much more than I ever anticipated. Things got convoluted, went to shit, then he got blocked for over a year. Yes, I said over a year. One year and five months to be exact. Before all of this, things seemed to be going well. As he would say, we were "a long walk, around the park". Jill Scott vibes. I agree, because it felt like "conversation, verbal elation, stimulation" every time we were together. If you know our good sis Jill Scott, you know how smooth our situation may have seemed. It was fun, light, and nourishing. I may even be a sapiosexual, intelligence and deep chats about real life just do something to me. We will circle back to that later on! Maybe another story.
All that to say, this man stroked me so well with his mind. I was sold. While intrigued by him, I was parting ways with a situation that was no longer serving me. In the midst, I learned a great lesson...sharing your intentions on the front end is not always necessary to provide reassurance. However, you hope that the person appreciates the vulnerability. Especially someone you trust. It felt as though the exact opposite had happened, my vulnerability was turned into the laughingstock of our existence. I know you are probably asking, why unblock someone like that? Time is why. Though I felt pride and ego mixed with a pinch of deflection existed; there was still so much more to learn about each other. Hurt feelings, turned into lost feelings, but not forgotten.
Life is short, and sometimes communication will find its way when it's time. If you choose to read this, you know who you are. There is always room for improvement when two people understand how one operates. Respect is all I demand, and if I feel disrespected, I will place people accordingly. Whether that is temporary or permanent, is another story. Literally! Y'all know me, there is always more to come. Snack on This is back, and we are coming in hot. Block what is not for you and try to understand what exists to teach you. 2025 is all about MOVEMENT, no matter what or who is in the way, we MOVE. Nonetheless, the current status is unblocked. We want to keep it that way.
